In my defence, I have been very busy, here's a quick update -
Firstly, August marked the month that I was moved from Duo management of the Food section, to solo management of the GM section (General Merchandise - clothing etc). It was a shock at first, but we have all worked hard as a team, and had a good Christmas & I must admit, I do love having a section of my own :D
The next thing was Dave's 30th Birthday trip to Salzburg! Which was lovely, I would recommend it has a holiday destination to anyone. Mozart was the top dog over there, with him being the son of Salzburg, so he was pretty much on every type of souveneir you could think of. One of my favourites was Mozart Duck :)

We stayed in the most gorgeous family run B&B, which was so traditional. It was surrounded by the mountains, and I really can't stress how quaint and how friendly the family were. Freshly cooked breakfast every morning, heaven!!

The next big thing after that trip, was a surprise trip from Dave, to Lapland in November. We stayed at the Santa Claus Village, in a cabin, with our own sauna. It was amazing, real proper snow, every day!! We got to meet Santa (which can be stressful, as they film you, but that's a whole other story!)

We went on a Reindeer ride, and a Husky ride, both of which were awesome, especially the Huskies, they built up such speed. Because we were early in the season, we pretty much had the place to ourselves, which when your an anti-social pair like us, is even better!! Also it mean't the staff had more time, so at the Husky park, we had a private tour and we were shown some new Puppies!! So cute!!

Lapland, of course is in Finland, and Finland of course is home to the Moomins! So lots of cute opportunity there, at very reasonable prices, compared to buying things in the UK. I got a wooden Moomin, a purse, a Christmas tin with the characters, a cuddily Moomin Papa (I love his hat!) and Dave bought me an amazing bag, which is made of woven felt. (It hasn't stopped raining here since he bought me it).

It was a fantastic trip and I didn't think I would enjoy a winter holiday, but I loved it and would happily go on another, especially as we also got to see the Northern Lights!
After Lapland it was work, work, work, as we were in the Christmas period. Had our annual meet up in Manchester, Dave and I stayed with the lovely James and Emma in their amazing Mill flat, and it was made better by the fact that Anita made it over from Poland :D It was a lovely weekend, and was great to be spending time with everyone again.

My crafting has pretty much screeched to a halt :( But I must get back on track, as Kezz wanted a handmade picture for her 30th Birthday. I did make myself a whipped cream phone cover, which I was pretty pleased with!

Had a strange Christmas, felt a bit same day, but with nice presents and food added. I did a bad cold, with a very evil cough, so I think that didn't help. I did get amazing presents. I am always spoilt and am so lucky. Dave bought me a new laptop, its taken me a while to adapt to Windows 8, but we are starting to get along now. Oh and an amazing Snorkmaiden necklace! It goes perfectly with my new pink dress (a £7 sale bargain). My surprise from Judy was revealed, she had managed to get me two of the Hello Kitty Olympic charms!! She found them in her local shop in Japan, and I was very lucky to get two different ones, Volleyball and Badminton. I also got a Gold medal in one!! Judy also got me a Nano block stitch model from Tokyo Disney (will add a picture next update).
So that brings us into 2013, which is now the year of my 30th. I have so many things planned (this is due to everyone being spread about & some being busy on dates near my birthday). So my celebrations start in February with a meal with Brenda & co, then I have my Manchester celebrations, then my works meal, then my actual birthday! Which will be celebrated in a car, travelling to Kent to see my A'Heather and then it's off to Disney! We're under 8 weeks now, can you believe!! So looking forward to it, cannot wait!

I have the App and everything! I'm so pleased as well that Team GB's first Gold was brought home by the girls! :D

So what cute items can you purchase, to help support your country or just add to your growing kawaii collection, well -
Hello Kitty never lets us down and she too has been ready to celebrate the Olympics, especially as they are being held in her hometown of London!

If you want a cute bag, and to do your bit for a very worthy charity, get yourself to your local ASDA and pick up the Peppa Pig shopping bag for £2, all proceeds go to Tommy's baby charity.

Then I musn't forget our officail Olympic mascots Wenlock and Mandeville! There has been alot of controversy around these two, but I have always liked them. There backstory is that they are drops of steel, that fell from the last girder going into the Olympic stadium and they formed Wenlock and Mandeville.

Go Team GB and good luck to all other competing nations too!!Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-121306513214505822012-06-30T10:13:00.000+01:002012-06-30T10:13:45.321+01:00I Work Cake, Sleep Cake and Eat Cake!This month has been a very Cakey month, infact it has been commented that 95% of my personal Facebook updates recently have all mentioned Cake. It started with work introducing a new range of cakes and they were all save a third, then with my discount off as well, it would have been rude not too!! The marbled chocolate brownie is my current favourite! Then for Fathers Day my Dad asked for a new mixer, and now he is back in the swing of baking cakes again, and he's really good!!! He just made some (which I decorated) for Jakki's 50th Birthday, and they have gone down a storm, everyone who has tried them, loved them!!

Above is the just final product after I decorated them! Inspecting them is Mr Elephant (more about him at another time).
Now as you know, I have posted before about cupcakes, as I am quite a fan (I have so many recipe books, just to look at the pictures, lol!) but I figured you can never have enough Cupcakes, so lets dedicate a whole post to them and include cute big cakes too!!
A new business has started in Barrow called The Cake District (loving the play on The Lake District), and this lasy is very talented!!! Check out her Facebook page! Just to show you some examples, first are her Baby cupcakes, now these are perfect for Christenings or Baby showers, and even the hardened "not keen on kids" people like me, surely must coo at how adorable these cakes are!!

She also makes some amazing big cakes, like this Alice styled Eat me cake -

Totally relying now on the fact that Dave doesn't read my blog, I have commisioned the following cake for his 30th in September!! Can't wait to see it in the flesh as it were!!!

So thats my local talent covered, now going further afield, in America there is a company called Savoy truffle and Cake - www.savoytruffleandcake.com and this lady makes the most amazing high end cakes, look at the picture of the Kimono silk wedding cake!! But my favourite is the Totoro cake!! Look at the detail, amazing.

Of course I have to get my Disney themes in somewhere, and there are some amazing Disney cakes out there, with alot of people having great creativity and talent. Some of my favourites are -
Alice in Wonderland Cupcakes found via the Cupcake blog, again its the detail that amazes me!

The Muppets made their grand comeback last year and Disney Cakes shows us how awesome they look in Cupcake form too -

We all loved Squirt in Finding Nemo, he's even cuter on a cake!! -

Leaving the Disney theme, we have pictures of Cakes which are just well in my opinion, awesome!! First, they may not be cute but they are fab, don't go into the water, its Jaws!!!!!

This next cupcake makes me think of my friend Vince, as when we went to cons, he always survived on Cup Noodles!!

Epicute have some lovely cupcake pics, I love this Kawaii selection -

Then I saw these Whale cakes and I actually squealed!!!

Recently I've seen alot of people utilising Oreo cookies in their cupcake decorating, (another of my favourite tasty treats), but my favourite so far has to be these Panda cakes -

I really do love these, I think they are such a clever design!!!
If you want a cute character check out Askingfortroubles Cakeify, I mentioned previously I had ordered the pen, well I was so pleased with I went and ordered another one, along with a phone charm!!

Soo cute and a bargain at £1.
Now if you could actually bear to cut into these cakes and actually eat them, perhaps you would want to do this with uber cute utensils -

Whilst we dream of these lovely cakes, wicked critters has done a lovely illustration, which must surely be from a cupcakes perspective, lol, enjoy and now I'm off to find some cake!!!

I have been off on holiday this week, not that I have been anywhere, the weather has not been the best, infact we have just had a months worth of rain fall in 24 hours!! Not fun!!

I did get chance to go through to Manchester for the day to catch up with my friends Dave and Vince, during this I got my first chance to go to a Sushi bar, which I haven't had chance to do before, due to my Dave's fish hatred. I really enjoyed it, but did find that I was mesmerised by the multiple pretty dished whizzing around!!

My favourite was the Salmon Nigri, yum!!
Being off this week, has made me yearn for my hoilday, where I am actually going away
somewhere, I have even been sad and added an app to my phone that counts down to my plans, lol!! I can now say, it is 10 weeks until Dave and I go to Salzburg! Cannot wait!!

Also if you have seen my countdown clock, my 30th Birthday Disney trip has been booked!! Yay!! We have changed hotels, and will now be staying on the Admirals floor of the Newport Bay Club (It has a private reception area, and is with the private suites and has views of Lake Disney!) So excited, Dave has treated me to my part of the stay, and he actually said he's looking forward to having a swim, so at least I know he's looking forward to something.

Mum has bought me the Birthday Disney Vinylmation to take with us, and have some fun photo opportunities! I can't wait!! 37 weeks, although i'd like to leave the 30 bit behind :(

My friend Judy is still in Japan, and having an amazing time. I received a parcel from her the other day, which was fab!! She used different postcards to write her letter, (something we have all stolen from our friend Anita). I have used these to make myself a rather nice picture :)

I love the ice sculpture of Mickey Mouse!! Amazing!! Included in my pile of goodies, were some adorable chocolate snowmen, a beautiful compact mirror, covered in a beautiful rabbit fabric, and the cutest Owl charm which was from her trip to Taiwan. I was a very lucky girl :)
In August, my two friends Vince and Mather are going out there, and will meet up with Judy, I am incredibly jealous, and wish I had thousands of pounds spare, so that I could also stalk them!! Instead I have opted to live my dreams through them until I get to go, by bombarding their facebook wall with interesting places I have heard about, like the Cup Noodle Museum!! A whole museum dedicated to Cup Noodles, how could you not go, lol!! http://www.cupnoodles-museum.jp/english/index.html
One place that I read about courtesy of a blog I follow, http://www.askingfortrouble.org/crafts/ which features very cute illustrations and characters by Marceline Smith. I love her blog as it is very informative, and I love when she illustrates her "what I wore" section. She also has a fantastic online shop, and I have just purchased the Cakeify pen.

The mystery place that I read about was the Takoyaki Museum, which Vince doubted existed until he googled it!!

Takoyaki is fried or grilled Octopus, cooked in batter, into a ball shape in a special pan, with takoyaki sauce. It is a famous takeaway dish in the Osaka region, and yes they too have a museum dedicated to it!! Which by the looks of it, also sells rather cute themed souveneirs!

Sigh, I want to go to Japan, trouble is I think I would bankrupt myself in the first few seconds, cute stuff overload!!! Lol!!
P.S. I don't like how blogger is putting the photos in :(Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-12095438016873736452012-03-04T10:25:00.015+00:002012-03-04T11:11:59.255+00:00Disney Withdrawal ....I am having some serious Disney Withdrawal symptons at the moment, I wish I could have a lottery win so that I could run away to Disneyland Paris, book a castle suite, yes a suite and stay there for at least 3 weeks, stuffing my face with Mickey waffles and Nutella, sigh.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l5OTISW_Hkk/T1NE8yBw_hI/AAAAAAAAAwc/R_8pHQm6eaA/s200/disneyland_hotel.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5715988163075309074" />
Alas this is not going to happen anytime soon, so I have to continue saving, and know that in 1 years time I will be heading their to celebrate/mourn the fact that I am 30... shudder.
So until this time, I will have to make do with saving, and looking at all the lovely Disney things out there, ( hampers the saving, some what when I purchase, oops).Wednesday was a prime example, I had to stay overnight at the Metro Centre, for a meeting the next day. I arrived there at 6p, after leaving Barrow on the train at 1:30pm :( Tired, hungry, and with a loss of bearings, I just wanted to get to my hotel, but then I saw the Disney Store shining like a beacon at me, so I had to go in and have a look. I really didn't intend to spend, BUT they had the Disney nerds range in, only a few bits, but they had it. I loved it so much I immediately framed it and made it into my new piece of art work!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_VasuQu2_dU/TyO9SsRhIWI/AAAAAAAAAuk/sENPNAa3-9Y/s200/403895_10151237626250002_876340001_22773826_1050131453_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702609682001109346" />
Once receiving this I couldn't resist having a look to see what Kawaii there was out there to celebrate the new year.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 190px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UFE80pPe3Uk/TyO9x55Uc9I/AAAAAAAAAu8/yzGHlnwXVLE/s200/San-x-Rilakkuma-2012-Year-of-the-Dragon-Plush-Toys-2.png.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702610218233656274" />
San X have done a range of Rilakkuma plushies, personally I love the one holding the litteh dragon. These can be found on ebay, but they are a bit pricey, which is a shame!
Tokidoki released a new banner design on their website. I have always liked Tokidokis designs, and I would happily buy a product with this design on!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 106px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aUjSZFNAnJs/TyO-coygabI/AAAAAAAAAvI/GS8f8gGLMYI/s200/tokidoki_chinese_new_year.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702610952376052146" />
Of course Hello Kitty is also joining in the New Year celebrations, amongst all the available products I like this phone charm. Kitty looks so cute dressed as a Dragon.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cCJ0w3QsKsc/TyO_Ev1e9wI/AAAAAAAAAvU/EpkKShjjT8A/s200/469-224212_med.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702611641462355714" />
As I mentioned earlier my friend Judy is in Japan, and she has been celebrating the New Year with a visit to a shrine, you can read about her experiences at Judyjoyfuljourneys.blogspot.com, link at the bottom of my blog. Of course i'm jealous of Judy, especially when I saw what the train company gave all their passengers -
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pzXbPVNosWc/TyPAbXn6M8I/AAAAAAAAAvg/xBie-LabZ3k/s200/judy%2Bdragon.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702613129611588546" />
Too Cute!!
Now as it is year of the Dragon, I think it is only fair to mention, in my opinion the cutest Dragon around..... Toothless!!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 160px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ow_KY-I04a0/TyPBDPEAbRI/AAAAAAAAAvs/uzZl4w3_48w/s200/Toothless_by_KiteoftheAzureFlame.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702613814508285202" />
I would happily spend a fortune on Toothless merchandise, unfortunately there isn't much about. My friend from work trawled Universal studios trying to find some Toothless merchandise, with no luck. Perhaps if I was talented like the following people I could make my own Toothless.
Sararoseey has made this gorgeous Polymer Clay ornament,and has managed to capture the characters cuteness perfectly!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JMOr0vlcxx4/TyPByIsC2II/AAAAAAAAAv4/7SLUiWXziW4/s200/tumblr_lyab82aEVm1qcmmp2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702614620251019394" />
Zombiesandunicorns has made this super cute Amigurumi Toothless, I really need to crack on with my crocheting and try to nail this!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 182px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WYiVJFMG6vc/TyPCFjebjjI/AAAAAAAAAwE/aZrFoa4dPvQ/s200/amigurumi_7__toothless_httyd_by_zombiesandunicorns-d3jssqf.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702614953859190322" />
So all thats really left for me to say is Gung Hei Fat Choi!!!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 135px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Ac_g_z0GNiU/TyPCdJ1G0zI/AAAAAAAAAwQ/oocT0Wz2nCY/s200/397108_10151213130575002_876340001_22705054_635084289_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5702615359291839282" />Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-47008062761687219922011-12-25T07:59:00.005+00:002011-12-25T08:06:42.317+00:00Happy Christmas!!!!Well today is Christmas Day and is the first full day off I've had in about 10 days!! I discovered them, pretty much when they first came out and my Mum and Nana bought me some, and I have been collecting them ever since!!
To give you a bit more back history, I will take the words, direct from the creators mouths, so to speak -
"The Momiji story began just over 6 years ago. Back in 2005 we created our first collection of 12 Momiji dolls…life before that date now seems to be a bit of a hazy memory and since then our days (and occasionally our nights) have become devoted to these little dolls.Momiji HQ is a little office in Henley in Arden. It's a small village in Warwickshire, England, famous for its legendary ice cream. Maybe one day it will be famous for Momiji too. From our tiny office we’ve become truly global. We've got designers creating lovely stuff all over the place (United Kingdom, Austria, Malaysia, Australia, Chile, Thailand, Germany, Canada, Slovenia to name but a few...)
Momiji is inspired by friendship and little kindnesses. It's about filling life with memories and messages"
I love the fact that these cute little Japanese figures are made in a small English village.
As mentioned aboved, there are many different collections, with different designs in each, and they are effectively limited edition, as they are only released for a short period of time.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w8joowTylqg/Tr-N6ZAq3_I/AAAAAAAAAsg/QojZF_XKLtY/s200/momiji.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5674410089795739634" />
Momiji have also branched out into accessories as well, I already own the compact mirror, hairclips, pens, notebook, umbrella..... lol, I own quite alot!!
So as you can see I am already a huge Momiji fan, so imagine my excitement at their latest collection, they have joined forces with Sanrio and have produced a Hello Kitty collection!!! Squeal!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 133px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dE-XfO5J5Mw/Tr-Paiiu_ZI/AAAAAAAAAs4/G9rZgfe52nU/s200/Momiji_Hello_Kitty_OLD.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5674411741621976466" />
I've already sat my Mum in front of the website, saying "Christmas!" repeatedly, I think she got the message. Again they have also produced some accessories, I've already treated myself to this uber cute zip pouch -
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tz2cgjkzuYs/Tr-Q56kxcOI/AAAAAAAAAtE/I6HQrW3SStM/s200/1-11884.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5674413380160549090" />
but theres also all these to get as well!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 111px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ThWh4ZFISaA/Tr-Rex4KTxI/AAAAAAAAAtQ/53BbwbrjIUE/s200/nouveautes-momiji-x-hello-kitty-L-XA9ien.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5674414013481111314" />
So I'm off to write my letter to Santa, if you want to see more Momiji check out the site, http://lovemomiji.com/. However with todays conflicts, The Royal British Legion and the Poppy Appeal still have alot of work to do. Wearing your Poppy with Pride, and giving a donation, helps this valued cause, help so many people.
If you have the money, you can purchase some really nice pieces, for example Buckleys of London have made this lovely brooch.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4fwYzt7YBpk/TrZyQuoDE9I/AAAAAAAAArM/Y_w9IBHCFhw/s200/%2521B8UroD%2521BWk%257E%2524%2528KGrHqV%252C%2521lcEy%252BjC129nBM2uNvSoZ%2521%257E%257E_35.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671846412439196626" />
This bracelet is also a lovely piece -
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dySDiaNd_s4/TrZyh6RuiWI/AAAAAAAAArY/AqH0ngOrM4o/s200/imgsize.php.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671846707624577378" />
If your funds can't stretch that far, then I have been making some felt versions, this large brooch is £4, with £2 being donated to the Poppy Appeal.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 147px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-poTFPVmTjhc/TrZy41jzXHI/AAAAAAAAArk/bHEZ-3H1sPY/s200/large%2Bpoppy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671847101495204978" />
A smaller version for £2, with £1 going to the Poppy Appeal.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 147px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-u5KyYTkmAE8/TrZzFkQ3KWI/AAAAAAAAArw/ZdJv-oFpeKo/s200/small%2Bpoppy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671847320190658914" />
If anyone is interested in placing an order, please leave a comment on here or email me at socuteitmakesyousqueal@hotmail.co.uk
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 194px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QECVrD0bcO4/TrZzup9KC0I/AAAAAAAAAr8/wOYdcxFBupg/s200/poppy_dat_285025.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671848026093259586" />
Then of course you can just go to your nearest Poppy seller, and make a small donation & wear the paper poppy, whatever you decide to do, just make sure you wear one with Pride. It may not be the cutest piece of jewellery you'll buy this year, but it's a piece that will do alot of good!!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 172px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-in7vyDYNh8k/TrZ0IYepUvI/AAAAAAAAAsI/7pX8WvNAJiI/s200/coach-shibuya-poppy-chan-07-2009-006b.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5671848468078482162" />
For further details on this great cause, please visit the website - http://www.poppy.org.ukBecca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-28964866125055378842011-10-30T19:32:00.012+00:002011-10-30T19:58:43.112+00:00Happy Halloween!!Two posts in one day, whats up with me?? Well mainly I thought "Hmmmm, I start work at 6am tomorrow, then have a jam packed day and evening, I best get this post done tonight".
As most know Halloween was always my favourite holiday. Last year sadly I lost my wonderful boy Buster, on Halloween.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XuTrPKV4IJs/Tq2nzEdqM-I/AAAAAAAAAo8/wPbOLdxX61I/s200/IMG_4682.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669372001742631906" />
I can't believe its been a whole year without him, it's been hard, and I am struggling with how I feel about this holiday now. However, I'm trying, Disney helped, and tomorrow after work I will be doing a Halloween Zumba!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V83plIYMUFY/Tq2oW9911hI/AAAAAAAAApI/5dtnSekM8zg/s200/IMG_6870.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669372618473854482" />
I have picked a selection of Halloween images, that I think are cute -
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 142px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1MXRZIE7Qyo/Tq2ovg0RbvI/AAAAAAAAApU/SZrK0en3ntM/s200/beauty-and-the-beast-belle-costume-cute-disney-halloween-Favim.com-51981_large.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669373040145821426" />
Sticking with the Disney theme, I just loved this picture of Belle and Beast swapping costumes, made me laugh so much! Now I am older, doing my own crafts and have inherited my Nana's Liberty silk scarf, I have a whole new appreciation. I have stood outside the London store, but unbelieveably I didn't go in!! Next time i'm in London, it's one of the first things i'm going to do.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rht6bBwgA2U/Tq0aCCtRZCI/AAAAAAAAAno/gMuUbVS7nAM/s200/Liberty.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669216128318137378" />
Can you imagine how excited I was, when I heard that Liberty was collaborating with Sanrio for a Hello Kitty collection, I was rather excited and headed to the website.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 101px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9F5ka-_yFqU/Tq0ajn4K5ZI/AAAAAAAAAn0/_HzjU1HzkdE/s200/hellokitty-main.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669216705231644050" />
They have done fabrics in four different designs, and I must say I would be quite happy owning all of them. Unfortunately I couldn't really justify the cost of the material, especially as I would have to try and make something awesome, and i'm not good enough for awesome!! Imagine if I could make something as awesome, as these uber cute Liberty bunnies!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 199px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zRYP-jOb4JI/Tq0b1_d_PTI/AAAAAAAAAoA/SMoQAfamuC0/s200/liberty%2Bbunnies.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669218120313552178" />
The four designs -
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 134px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aGLjZFF_DGI/Tq0cQwqqS4I/AAAAAAAAAoM/MUL4KA2Pld4/s200/IPAD1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669218580196641666" />
So imagine how happy I was when I discovered that Boots were selling the range, and that it was part of the 3 for 2 giftshop!! This I could justify the spending of!!
I treated myself to, a few bits... :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VCRMwftTe4Q/Tq0eQQhOPZI/AAAAAAAAAoY/uyCAHvyTN1k/s200/Hello%2BKitty%2BLiberty.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669220770590375314" />
The compact also has a selection of eyeshadows inside, which luckily are all my colours, I also got the coin purse, and then as you have to make up the 3 for 2 aspect I got the washbag set -
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 163px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YqPgfYwGCRc/Tq0fa5zjkZI/AAAAAAAAAok/V10KqotcL6Y/s200/10128407.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5669222052983443858" />
It's a lovey set, with a body lotion, body cream and a body scrub, all with the Hello Kitty/Liberty logo. Disney was as lovely as ever, and I must say that I was very impressed with the new Toystory Playland. They have designed it so that you feel like the size of a toy! Even the shop was the Barrel of Monkeys! I got to have my photo taken with Rex, an opportunity I couldn't pass up.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oTLkNPo9Zuc/TqhpCrpOciI/AAAAAAAAAl8/ZwZR2dYJZSk/s200/IMG_6779.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667895625842061858" />
I was trying to be much braver this time, even convoncing myself that I would go on the Tower of Terror this time, and Crush's coaster. However as I approached the Tower of Terror and heard the screams, I began to feel the fear creep in to my belly. I'm such a wimp when it comes to rides! I decided that the new Toystory soldiers parachute drop was the way to go, what a mistake. I didn't realise how high it went up, (and forgot about my Dads fear of heights, oops!) When we were right at the top, we could see right over the top of the castle in the other park, and our hotels roof, and then it dropped us! Scream!! We definately got more drops than other people did!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-j9ygy39F6MM/Tqhq24HG0hI/AAAAAAAAAmI/CpQvavAsItM/s200/IMG_6951.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667897622053442066" />
I loved how there were the toy soldiers dotted about everywhere, and they even had the baby monitor like in the movie!
Right to my purchases, I bought quite a bit, lol!! I was a bit more reserved than 2 years ago (it all fitted in one holdall this year). So here are a few highlights -
Firstly a Disney fan with a love of Kawaii, how can I resist some plushies!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0rajUP85nys/TqhsLICqUnI/AAAAAAAAAmU/gcfqgUeIxn4/s200/Plushies.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667899069438775922" />
Mum and Dad always buy me a Stitch plushie (I have quite a growing collection), and I couldn't believe it when I found this design, combining my love of Stitch with Starwars!! Yoda Stitch!! Then I was drawn to this very cute Zero plushie, he is made from such a soft material! Continuing with Stich (theres a theme). I bought a variety of stationery items, and Mum bought me the Stitch starsign keyring!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eM2sXv8KKCM/TqhtKMghLiI/AAAAAAAAAmg/HduBLMTjFSM/s200/298816_10150914371115002_876340001_21412133_1173843193_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667900152969506338" />
After Mum bought her Minnie Mouse fleece top 2 years ago, I've been hankering for something cute and warm myself! So I chose this cute Stich Zip up hoody! This is the back view -
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SwC8uFV8p-Q/TqhtvFZvTAI/AAAAAAAAAms/KtwxHQdMMYY/s200/308351_10150913084210002_876340001_21403873_611914411_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667900786717182978" />
Disney Vinylmation had really taken off this time. If anyone hasn't seen them, they are like Qee's, but Mickey shaped and different artists design them. You can get themes, or just images. I have been collecting the pin version for a while, and had the purse for my holiday.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 93px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zBq5n6OmyMQ/TqhupcGSyuI/AAAAAAAAAm4/fL1bB7ROdds/s200/%2521B2nMT7QCGk%257E%2524%2528KGrHqEOKjsEyLopRozzBMjPgsRTl%2521%257E%257E_35.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667901789242051298" />
I liked lots of the designs, I really liked the rucksack but at 45euros, I admired it from afar! I did treat myself to a design from the Nerd series, well I am myself a Nerd, and ever since the Rescue Rangers, i've had a thing for Chip!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5WnMmrwW5iM/TqhvJEunDCI/AAAAAAAAAnE/56yB7wct2cs/s200/400001164099.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667902332724513826" />
My Mum was equally taken with them (unlike my Dad who found them disturbing, lol) and she bought one from the Bakery series!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 155px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z96moUJZZLY/Tqhvan2yTDI/AAAAAAAAAnQ/I478l4jxdZs/s200/%2524%2528KGrHqV%252C%2521k8E3HurhsV7BN2t4%2529qzz%2521%257E%257E0_35.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667902634211822642" />
All in all I had an amazing time, and am very pleased with all my souveneirs! :) You will see from the new layout of my blog, that after reading my friend Judy's travel blog, I realised I can layout the pictures differently! Lol!! To end this post on something majorly cute, I leave you a picture of the most romantic of couples, Walle and Eve!!!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GycGPDfovrE/TqhxR-jSnfI/AAAAAAAAAnc/o5h4DXVjEE0/s200/IMG_6851.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5667904684708503026" />Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-41932664578146538312011-09-23T22:21:00.003+01:002011-09-23T22:46:30.451+01:00Freebie Hunt<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 116px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JgEm6k_jh_Y/Tnz5gIJ1KHI/AAAAAAAAAls/dSCAO7gTdvM/s200/business%2Bcard.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5655669562410346610" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 107px; height: 90px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2rtEamday-E/Tnz5gQREH3I/AAAAAAAAAl0/vLwTs-30jPA/s200/metal-thumb.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5655669564588171122" />

Like most people I like freebies! So when I saw the advert that Vistaprint were offering 500 business cards for free (you just have to pay the postage and VAT) I had to check it out. Now i've ordered from them before and had some great photo calenders made, so I thought it was worth looking into. I fancied a simple design, with my details on, so that I could put a card with anything that I sell, or just to hand out if someone is interested in my designs. For the free cards you get to choose from about 10 free designs, I went for the cupcake theme, as I love cupcakes and am currently on a theme of making them. I then put all my details on, which is when Dave pointed out to me that I could do with a sole e-mail address, so welcome - socuteitmakesyousqueal@hotmail.co.uk, and then I thought I needed a sole facebook account, so search socute itmakesyousqueal (had to make it like a name!)
So for the grand total of £6.27 (the above mentioned p+p & vat), I have coming my way 500 business cards and a business card holder (FREE!), I will need to decorate this as it's a bit plain at present, but for free, who minds!!
So check out www.vistaprint.co.uk for some good freebies!Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-17300268164820675442011-09-13T13:46:00.002+01:002011-09-13T13:52:55.572+01:00Homemade Holidays<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IPpmBoZxhTQ/Tm9SCqtI13I/AAAAAAAAAlM/Qi4j4VqM2OU/s200/hairclip.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651826263150090098" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4tKv4yTgO8c/Tm9SCRE5ZcI/AAAAAAAAAlE/wVUriZ6qmfU/s200/skull.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651826256270419394" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-doFafFd5fBo/Tm9SBt9NGgI/AAAAAAAAAk8/dYAKRdK-Opg/s200/NOEL.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651826246842915330" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VQ9yRkVgYyM/Tm9SBmIXtfI/AAAAAAAAAk0/2UaHIgB06DA/s200/NOEL2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651826244742264306" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NZ4hb5TowTc/Tm9SCl9Kc4I/AAAAAAAAAlU/h2hu4e4JvzQ/s200/CUPCAKE.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651826261875127170" />
As I am currently on holiday for a week from work, I thought it was about time I did some more felt work. I decided that I would try and get ahead of the game and make some things for the next two major holidays, Halloween and Christmas!
Firstly, I love Halloween and I love Cupcakes, so combing the two I have started on some Halloween cupcake designs which I am making into hairclips, to be a bit different. I have a few orders for these already, which is good!!
Next Day of the Dead skulls have always fascinated me, there so bright and colourful! So here is my take on the concept, i'm going to try and work on this into a loot bag or a purse, i'm not sure yet. Then looking at Christmas I decided that a garland would be a great idea. Halfway through making the bears, I was beginning to regret it, (they are very fiddily), but I got there in the end, and its not too bad! Time to think up some more designs......Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-65847365086691220472011-09-11T13:24:00.004+01:002011-09-11T13:45:55.843+01:00Who needs school to own stationery thats cool!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dR2PcpbKGEs/TmyrLHgj8BI/AAAAAAAAAkk/ABwZCaToFig/s200/00486512_large.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651079839925661714" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 147px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XbY__andsSw/TmyrKyfyPSI/AAAAAAAAAkc/GEFLwJ6IDyg/s200/307258_10150818075495002_876340001_20740119_1946228136_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651079834285260066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 147px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3dcOM8aGg10/TmyrKhSGg_I/AAAAAAAAAkU/o2-fQAm0HSs/s200/302082_10150818069590002_876340001_20740064_201081315_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651079829664465906" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mCh8tqVIQCE/TmyrLP_FA6I/AAAAAAAAAks/2a-HIB5FS1A/s200/295871_10150818069370002_876340001_20740060_496481957_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5651079842201142178" />

When I was little, I used to love going to choose my new school year pencil case, stationery and bag. As I get older I find that every year when the back to school stationery comes into the shops I still get that little thrill in my tummy. Yes at the grand old age of 28, I still love stationery! I don't feel ashamed of this, Brenda who I work with has just turned 61 and she's worse than me!! Luckily we both work in a job, where we get to use lots of notebooks, pens and pencils alot!!
As I have mentioned before, Paperchase is one of my favourite shops in the whole wide world, and if I won the euro millions, along with buying a permanent suite at Disneyland Paris, I would go on the biggest spending spree in the world!! I'm loving the new ranges, especially the new JPop range! I have treated myself to a few pieces, including this JPop composition size sleeve notebook for £3, this cute JPop 2011-2012 mid year diary, £6. Not just handy for students, but also for us Fire, Health and Safety officers who need to mark down future risk assessment dates! Next up if you own the notebook and the diary, why not get the matching pen, £1.50, the lid spins round to reveal more cute images!! Then I spotted the JPop laptop stickers, 3 individual stickers for £1, which I thought were a bargain!! Now combining something I love, with something I use alot, Panda highlighters!!! How cute are these?? plus a bargain at £2.50!! Then last but not least on my own home turf of M&S, I found this cute monster notebook!! I love the individual designs of the characters, and the front message of "Come to the Dark side...... we have biscuits" was just too fab to resist!!
So that's been my little spending spree, however knowing what i'm like, it won't be the last, lol!!Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-42871619180496168322011-08-21T10:31:00.004+01:002011-08-21T11:10:21.931+01:00Gutentag!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UUtDmVnXpi0/TlDZUBXgqBI/AAAAAAAAAjY/8jy6Ebdv0YQ/s200/283491_10150763398175002_876340001_20107191_3365447_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5643249271082887186" />
Well apologies for not posting for so long! Work had gone a bit mental and I wasn't very well, but things turn round and hopefully I can get this blog back on track, and start to make some cute things again. I think i'm going to try and make some Halloween things early, especially as i'm going away in October. Speaking of going away, I only recently just got back from Munich in Germany. It was just what I needed and I had a lovely time, I would reccomend it to anyone. The people were so friendly, the weather was beautiful, only had one afternoon when it rained. The arhitecture was amazing, just regular shops were old and ornate! The food was lovely, and I was brave and tried the famous local delicacy, weisswurst! Steamed white veal sausages, with pretzls and a sweet mustard. I was quite scared at first, as the mention of veal put me off a bit, but it was actually pretty tasty! I didn't get to try any, but the decorated gingerbread hearts were everywhere, and they looked so pretty, hanging on the market stalls! I took this picture at the Virtuelmarkt! Another thing that was in alot of shops, was marzipan figures, especially made into the famous Munich treats, Pretzls, Weisswurst, Beer, radishes etc, and I thought they were really cute!
Souveneirs were a little light on the ground at first, and I was beginning to panic, what was I going to buy people?? Luckily, I managed to find some eventually. One thing I turned up was Bavarian Rubber Ducks, I bought Lily a German Frau, and I bought myself this funky Herr Duck! They make me smile!
Beer is everywhere there, as it is what Munich is most famous for, but as a non drinker I still found plenty to enjoy. The Beer Halls had a fantastic atmosphere, and were decorated with so much, you couldn't help but just sit and constantly look about you. We went to the Agustinier, which is the oldest Beerhall in Munich, and had one room that was completely decorated in shells! My favourite place to go was the Hofbrauhaus, which is the most famous Beerhall & brewery as it is the Royal one. It is here that I tried Weisswurst, had Spezi which is cola and lemonade mixed together and is very refreshing! It was entertaining also watching Dave trying to lift a full litre tankard of Beer!
We took a daytrip on the Thursday to go and see the Neuchwanstein Castle, which was built by King Ludwig II, known as the Fairy Tale King (he had a few issues). Ludwig had an obsession building medievel, mythical style castles and the Neuchwanstein is no exception. Built in the Alps, it is stunningly beautiful. We walked up to the castle, (which I thought was going to kill me), however the views were worth it. The alps were stunning, and the sun had come out, it was amazing! Only 15 rooms were completed, due to money issues and King Ludwig dying in mysterious circumstances. The Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Resort Paris, is based on the Neuchwanstein castle, and when you look at the detail, you can see how closely they copied the design. I always manage to find a link to Disney somewhere! lol! I have been very lucky to have been brought up in a loving family who told me whatever my life choices were I would be supported. I think I was told this before I even knew what life choices I had, lol! Two of my closest friends in the world are gay, and I know the difficulties they have gone through from coming out to work colleagues, not being able to tell family etc. I have had many a fantastic night down Canal Street in Manchester and also at Manchester Pride, and have always been made to feel so welcome. I have been introduced to the L Word, and Sarah Walters novels, which some have become my favourite reads. So my world has been opened up alot,and whether gay or straight I think many would benfit from this forum, so check it out!
As my blog deals with cute, one of my previously mentioned friends, has been spamming me all night with cute gay pics! Lol, I have also been on the search, they may not be truly Kawaii but they are cute!
Firstly, we can't have cute without Hello Kitty!!! Here she is, all ready for a Pride parade!
These cupcakes look so tasty, and I love how the rainbow layers have been done, I don't know how they did it, but it looks amazing!
Next, I love this hat!!! It's awesome! This pic is from San Fransiscos Pride, love it!!
You can always rely on anime to give us cute love!!!
And lastly whoever you are, can anyone resist a Pancake Orgy!!! Thanks to Kawaiinot, no we can't!!Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-86160285437681054432011-05-07T10:35:00.004+01:002011-05-07T10:49:26.286+01:00So many Bank Holidays!!!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 120px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-brVopj0EsCI/TcUU4g05qkI/AAAAAAAAAhY/5jemy_j5VVE/s200/Royal-Wedding-gnomes-007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603908272449497666" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 130px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aWBkN7k0yL8/TcUU4SJhlzI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/JXcF-JskrRg/s200/royal-wedding%2Bbikkies.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603908268509468466" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 120px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-e7oNFxXt-bo/TcUU4TmKKnI/AAAAAAAAAhI/wmIo5buNUgU/s200/happyland.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5603908268898003570" />

I haven't had a chance to post in a while, I've been so busy with work, and then all these bank holidays!!! I worked the Royal Wedding, which was strange as we didn't open till 1pm, so staff had chance to see the wedding. There was only me and 2 others to put the wjole delivery out, lol! But we did it and made it upstairs to see the Wedding dress! Which I must say, considering i'm not that fussed about stuff like that, I thought it was gorgeous!
Anyway I've been having a quick peek around the internet to see what cute wedding stuff I could find!
You can't beat Royal Wedding gnomes! Will add a touch of royal cuteness to any garden!
I love these biscuits! I shall persevere & hopefully numbers will build!
So Easter is rapidly coming upon us, I have put my Easter display up, and finally this morning I got around to actually making some bits. I have opted for egg cosie's this year. I found them very relaxing to make, which is good as I had an awful day at work on sat!
Having a quick look around the net, these cute things caught my eye!
I love this little chicks, which I think are made from card. I found these at The Chic-Adee shop, which is obvioulsy run by a very talented person. Google it and check out the beautiful easter wreaths.
Next I love this little bunny girl image! Makes me think of when I cosplayed as a bunny! This is actually a greetings card by Ansy, at www.stockfresh.com.
Last but not least, if you do not squeal out loud at these cute amigurumi bunnies, then your on the wrong site! They are by Stephanie Jessica Lau & I found them on the Craftzine blog.
So that's my update, hope everyone gets lots of eggs!!
Happy Easter!Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-79222651524783724082011-03-29T21:44:00.002+01:002011-03-29T22:13:06.944+01:00Help Japan!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 120px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--Cni2Pmo_ZE/TZJLSqEsXAI/AAAAAAAAAeo/dk99fzAtpes/s200/Japan-earthquake-child-re-007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589612871423908866" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 132px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qHjv-6sDWK8/TZJLSlPbCxI/AAAAAAAAAeg/14o8bVLkKL8/s200/Support-Japan.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589612870126734098" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 103px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oqrxlfI6QBs/TZJLSKUztVI/AAAAAAAAAeY/RZC-udEjmLU/s200/slider-book.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589612862901564754" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 108px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vGHIwmaCgdg/TZJLRg_uwBI/AAAAAAAAAeQ/NxJxzskgQuo/s200/kaijuforjapan%2B02.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589612851807305746" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 66px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0837LxUY964/TZJLReo_0FI/AAAAAAAAAeI/KLDbzkjd9AQ/s200/6a0120a63642f8970b0147e367dfed970b-900wi.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5589612851175084114" />
We have all seen the awful pictures that have come from the aftermath of the Earthquake in Japan. As the story starts to disappear from the main news, we need to ensure that the situation does not fade from our minds, and that we realise it os going to take alot of time to recover the country and that Japan will need help! So if you can, please make a doantion in any way that you can! The easiest is direct to the Japan Tsunami appeal, via the Red Cross - http://www.redcross.org.uk/Donate-Now
or if you want to support Japan through your love of Kawaii, then you can do that through various generous peeps. Just a few that I've found are - http://www.rilakkumashop.com - This shop is selling limited editions Rilakkuma plushies to help raise funds for Japan. So not only can you bag yourself something unusual, but you will also be helping a worthy cause!!
www.askingfortrouble.org - The very talented and kind Marceline from Asking for trouble is giving donations of £4 for every copy of her Kawaii Japan book to the red cross. This runs until April 9th. This book is "A self-published book of writing, photography and illustration from three trips to Japan", if any of you haven't looked at Marcelines site, I reccomend it, as her illustrations are amazing and she has really cute stuff for sale in her shop!
If you check out the Gorilla mouth blog (http://www.gorillamouth.com) you will see that is planning Kaiju for Japan, with people submitting art, which will go on sale April 22nd to raise funds. I would check it out, as the pics show some amazing pieces are being submitted!!
I was reading the Modes for you facebook group yesterday and saw this pic/info on Project holding hands, all popular characters coming together, to raise a smile, and to encourage people to be positive, especially children. I think thats what hits home most, the Japanese peoples bravery and positivity. They have been through such trauma, but they are already looking to the future. My friend Nao is Japanese, and lives in Tokyo, and I was so worried when I saw the headlines. I emailed her immediately, and thankfully she was able to answer back, saying she was ok, very scared but ok. I've only heard from her once since then, i'm sure she's doing fine, but I feel that doing what I can from this end, is showing my support to her!
So help where you can!!Becca-sanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03980623260708644033noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5448829526871561733.post-60058186474290847742011-03-27T20:42:00.004+01:002011-03-27T21:02:39.317+01:00First Giveaway - Enter to Win March 27th - April 3rd 2011<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 164px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--CGRtFENVO8/TY-XwUx8pEI/AAAAAAAAAd4/SQRkg2emx2U/s200/champbear.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588852519057794114" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 159px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bauhPB0jKr0/TY-XwOk6n_I/AAAAAAAAAdw/00_xofBiLLU/s200/bathtub.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588852517392523250" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--pxTQ_bB37o/TY-Xv1udOnI/AAAAAAAAAdo/arzsfgjHXqU/s200/IMG_5415.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588852510721653362" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 189px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yrKt6tnsIOI/TY-XvfRgX6I/AAAAAAAAAdg/dZIwpX258SU/s200/thumb2_79_1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588852504694644642" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qR82b_zwxxk/TY-XvJ_Wn6I/AAAAAAAAAdY/fpasX28rQtQ/s200/3728717754_418aab2de4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588852498981363618" />
Well this will be my first giveway competition!!
